Did you ever consider dropping your traditional media marketing for social good marketing? What would happen if you dumped your traditional media marketing and opted for this type of marketing? Adam at the Red Stag Tavern in Halifax is doing just this.

This will be a topic of discussion for my Halifax social media training programs to mull over. We understand that traditional media marketing is having a hard time creating visibility and opportunity as customers change. Would you drop all your marketing for social good marketing?
Here is a recent tweet from the Red Stag Tavern:
Our friend Keith, The @HFXMooseheads Superfan, has received our present. Love it! #caringcounts #hfxsmiles #halifax pic.twitter.com/0s08rahwMD

I have to say that this seems genius. This is out of the box thinking. Imagine relying on people to whom you perform random acts of kindness to spread the word about your business? This is exactly what is happening. Here is what one person tweeted out:
#FF @TheRedStagHFX because #caringcounts and they are an amazing bunch of great people

When you think about it, marketing exists to create visibility and cause others to talk about you. This is exactly what is happening.
They did SUCH an awesome job! We love when youth get involved & give back to their community. #CaringCounts #IWKRadiothon @thesmiliest

I believe they are on to something here. But be careful about picking this up as a marketing ploy. If you really don’t care, it’s not going to work. People can see a fraud a mile away. Adam is the real meal deal at the Red Stag Tavern @TheRedStagHFX . His genuine caring really does exist and it truly comes from his heart.
So here’s to a great day in business for you.
