Last time you checked your site on the Internet it was awesome. Well what about now? Does it look good with the new devices that others are now using?
I wrote a blog post a while ago about looking at your web site or blog using not only different web browsers, but also different devices. Well this Christmas saw more activations of Android devices as well as iPhones and iPads.
Not sure you this could affect you and your Internet web sites? I had a woman contact me to help her update her web site. To her surprise, her web site was all green on the iPad. Her site was full of flash. Not so good. I tried her site with the Blackberry Playbook, and the links were less then perfect. I am working with her now to update her site so it is mobile friendly and functional.
More and more customer sales are happening online. 2011 saw the biggest rate of online sales ever. Mobile played a huge role in these sales as well. If your web site is a sales point, then you had better be able to show up; or miss out on some opportunities.
If you have a WordPress blog, a plugin for smart phones and tablets is critical. Right now I am using the WPTouch plugin. You need to test your web stuff against different phones, tablets and browsers.
