If you do great business and your customers are happy customers, referrals and recommendations are great for letting others know that you do great work.
So how do you get a business referral or a recommend? Here are the two simple points for you consideration:
- Do great work. Get your customers excited about the work you are doing. Give them great customer service. Remember when you give, you will get.
- Then, ask for a referral or recommendation. I remember a passage that says this…”You have not because you ask not.” When you have done great business, make sure to ask for a referral or recommendation.
This may sound simple, but many are leaving lots of great referrals and recommendations untapped because they are not asking for them. This last step can also be a win-win for your customer as well. They get the extra attention of being listed somewhere where Google can find a link back to their web assets. They can also seen to be getting progressive training or something that sets them apart from the other businesses.
