In my Friday morning Advanced Social Media Workshop for real estate professionals, one of them came out with a real awesome quote. I just went wow!

Here’s what the quote was…”The thing about being successful, is that you never have to tell anyone.” I thought this was pure gold. Here’s why. This quote aligns with the social media mantra…”What others say about you is more important than what you say about yourself”.

Twitter birdI know I have done a good job for my clients when their name is spoken of more than mine. I like creaking buzz for myself; but I like creating buzz more for my clients. It is important to me that my clients get results. On my last program, my real estate pros where getting leads and selling homes off social media.

At a recent major Canadian Bank Christmas event in the Nova Scotia area, the real estate company, that I was doing training for, was mentioned very highly because of their social media efforts.  They were creating buzz and the bank was noticing. Their name was on the lips of a major Canadian bank.

To create great buzz, we have to give great customer service and help them get great results. When they get that, they will be raving fans and promoters of what you do.  Until then, you have lots of homework to do.  How do you make them raving fans?  How do you get them to say good things about you?

To create buzz, we have to get our name out there too.  If people cannot find you, they cannot rave about what you do.  Showing up is important for business.  When you show up, word of mouth can turn into world of mouth.

So if you want to be successful and have others rave about you, it’s going to take lots of hard work, great customer service and a great marketing effort. So start getting your plan set for 2012 and get your customers raving about what you do.

And remember…”The thing about being successful, is that you never have to tell anyone.” Thanks Ron Hollett for those great words to live by.
