I just discovered iMovie for the Mac computer and I am impressed at how easy one can create a movie trailer. Please take a look and see what this could do for you.
The hardness part of the whole process for me was finding the video clips to bring into iMovie. The program downloaded to the Mac without a hitch. The “Help” quickly guided me through the process of creating a trailer.
I changed the caption text to fit what I wanted. I dragged and dropped the video clips into the right spots and that was it. Once I was happy, I completed the project. From there I uploaded the video to YouTube for ease of sharing. YouTube gave me the embed code for the different spots I wanted to share it.
One thing to keep in mind is this…”If you build it, that does not guarantee that they will come”. When you create content for the Internet, it has to stand out. Remember the old Bugs Bunny cartoons? I still like them, but they pale in comparison to the new generation of high-tech cartoons.
People like to see good action and interesting shots. As I went through the original video, I tried to find the shorts that stood out. You will have to keep this in mind with your web offerings.
So how was it received? In my social media class, everyone liked it but one. One thought it was too much work for the potential benefit. Let’s hear your thoughts. What do you think of this process and the end result. Could you use something like this for you?
I’ve had mixed results with video. A lot have had very little to no traffic, but some tutorials I did for one of my sites bring in a steady stream of views and traffic. You’ve got to promote the videos you post on Youtube.
@Sonya76 Some of my videos will remain private for my membership site Sonya. These are for sharing with my clients.
But I hear you on the sharing part. I need to do a better job at getting them promoted. Appreciate the comment Sonya. Thanks. Have a great Thursday 🙂
