You do have the power to create visibility for your business. You do not have to take a wait and see approach. Here’s a video that I created for my Halifax social media participants to help them create opportunities.
Do I have to wait for customers to discover my business? Before the Internet, we would go out and meet with people. We would call people. We would do what ever it took to create some business opportunities. It has to be the same as we use social media to market our business.

So what can we do on our social media to create visibility?
- We can share links to our online assets
- We can talk with people on social media to let people know what we do
- We can use keywords in our posts so that we show up in the searches of others
- We can post great content that others will share so that our business name is spread farther on the Internet
Whatever you decide to do, don’t take a wait and see approach. Seize the day. Get into a conversation with someone and see what happens at the very least. It might just create more visibility for your business. Remember that social media is only part of your marketing tool box. Keep on doing the other stuff that helps you create visibility as well.
