If pictures are worth a thousand words, then we had better be using them for the websites and pages we have on the web.
My first real experience with pictures on the web that was real insightful to me was when I uploaded some pictures for my website and Facebook Pages.
The photographer had me not smiling in most of my photos. For those who knows me, this is not me. I actually had some comments that the pictures looked scary.
This time around for my next pictures, yours truly is going to me smiling. Pictures are very important for helping people connect with you. They convey a message whether you want to believe it or not.
My advice to you is to go out and get some photos taken from a professional photographer, so that you can portray your best to your audience. If your picture is worth a thousand words, you want those words to be the best ones.
Another thing to keep in mind is this: if you use your own images, you can’t be sued for copyright infringement. I see lawyers go after people on the web for illegally using photos. This is not something you have I’ve for. Do it right the first time.
