Alpha Computer is now in the process of becoming Alpha Social Media Inc. With the bulk of the business being social media training, it just made sense to me and many of my online friends. They were actually wondering when I was going to make the change.
A while back, I switched my Twitter username from @Alpha_Computer to @4JeffBrown. Too many were seeing me as a computer sales company. As I talked with my online friends, they felt I was overdue for a change. Thus I am moving forward as Alpha Social Media Inc. I have a gift for helping people with social media and business. It just makes sense to identify myself with the bulk of the work I have been doing over the last few years.
Hopefully there will be no more calls or emails asking me to wholesale computers and parts. I would get emails on a regular basis to sell USBs and other computer parts. To me, tech and training are two separate worlds. There is too much to know to be good at both. I had to focus on one, so I could be my best for you. That’s why I chose training.
So there will be changes to some of my web stuff in the days ahead. I am working hard to find ways to help you better as well. I am currently working on a logo which will be web and shirt ready. Here is what I have so far. What do you think?
I have been giving my logo a lot of thought. It not only has to go on web sites, it could also go on shirts and jackets. So why did I choose a globe for part of my logo? My gut tells me that I am about to go “Global”. So that’s why the logo has a globe in it. Since my home base will be North America, that’s where I wanted the globe to face. I had to put it somewhere.
When you are designing your logo, you should give it lots of thought as well. It will be your brand in many places. Test it with others for feed back, as I am doing here. Remember, you are designing your logo not only for your business, but you are designing it for your customers.
