This Fall is going to be a busy one for business. With that in mind, I am looking forward to delivering several social media programs in the Halifax and Dartmouth area. Internet marketing has become a staple for creating visibility and opportunity. Now it’s time to help many businesses learn how to be effective.
These programs will cover introductory, as well as advanced, concepts for using social media for business. Participants will learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media programs as well. At the core of all the training will be “Business Best Practices”. Participants will learn how to make these social networks generate a return on investment (ROI) for their efforts. There will be lots of hands on training, questions and discovery over the next 11 weeks. This will give each participant a chance to learn and test drive these social networks.
Here’s a few comments from previous participants regarding my training sessions. After all, it’s not what I say that counts, it’s what others say about me that matters more. As a business, we need to get our customers raving about what we do. They should be making comments like this about our business.

Hi @4JeffBrown – I just finished your book about twitter with a friend. It was a great way to learn the lingo and get going on Twitter.

I will be starting the social media programs off with security and why “what we do” matters. We will look at the risks that come with using social media for business. I bet you can think of a few friends who have had their social media account hacked and the pain that resulted. We all need to learn how to be safe on the Internet. Ignorance is not an option today.
