One has to remember that what one writes on the Internet is there for all to see. It’s there for life. Choose wisely what you put out there.
It’s never pretty when you see someone drops the F-Bomb or any other profanity on social media. As a business, it can be deadly. There are lots of ways to express your frustration. This is not one of the ways to do so. You should choose your words wisely.
If you are are looking to be hired; you know that a HR department or an employer will be checking out your social media. They are not looking to hire Mr. Or Mrs. Volcanic; or toilet bole mouth.
If you are looking to do work for someone as a business, you have to think along the same lines. People don’t want to be associated with loose canons or people that could go off at a moments notice. People make judgements on a daily basis.
If you have to have one of those moments, keep it offline. Calling people names and shooting off at the mouth are things that will be remembered down the road. My Grandfather had a wise saying… “You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.” Don’t create landlines for the road ahead.
So before you start on social media with your verbal assaults and profanity, remember it might cost you work or employment. Don’t do anything stupid on social media. It can bite you on the butt.
