Who doesn’t want more followers? But if we looked at some Twitter accounts out there, you might not think that they are keen to attract others to them. My Halifax social media class is learning how to get more Twitter followers now. Here is the video I made for them.

There are four really simple things you need to start right to attract followers:

  1. Add a good photo – people find it hard to connect to an “Egg” – a profile with not picture of the person.
  2. Add a good Bio – this tells people something about you.
  3. Add your web url – this tells people where your website can be found for more information.
  4. Make some tweets – start tweeting. You would be surprised by how many accounts on Twitter don’t tweet on a regular basis.

This may sound simple, but it is the basics that really get you going in the right direction. Hope this helps. Have a great day in business.
