Halifax social media – as a business, do you resonate with your customers? If you do not measure what you are doing and how your customers are responding, you might be missing the mark by quite a bit. Do you want your small business to do better?

There is a lot to think about when it comes to resonating with your customers. If you are just playing with social media, you have nothing to fear. But if you are using social media to market to your potential customers, you have to really take a serious look at what you are doing. You don’t have time to waste as a business.

PivotTable Social Media Stats

PivotTable Social Media Stats

Here is a look at an initial PivotTable of a selected time interval. If you look closely, you will see that Saturday, Sunday and Monday factor heavy in my community. Kind of pulls the plug on what Dan Zarrella has been saying in his research. If we learn one thing, we will realize that we are all individuals and so are each and everyone in our communities.

We cannot look at our community as others generalize. We need to measure what is actually happening with our community and make adjustments based on what we are seeing. To be fair to Dan Zarella, I bet he would tell me the same thing. An overall average is a good indicator; but it does not beat the actual stats of a given community.

From my brief look at the data, it seems that Saturday, Sunday and Monday seem to be bigger days for me when it comes to mentions and retweets. This will demand a closer look at the data. I will specifically be looking at the times of day and what happens around them. After all, as a business and a social media trainer, it is important that I find what resonates with my community. I need to find those sweet spots and adjust to them.

Monitoring is an ongoing process. The more data I collect, the better the results will be. When you are starting out, that is when you should be noting down what stats you are getting and let it build over time. As a business, you need to find your own social media swing. You cannot always go with generalized results from others. You need to go by your own stats. You need to resonate with your community. If you do not measure what you are doing and how your customers are responding, you might be missing the mark by quite a bit.

So there’s to a great day for you and your business. If you have any questions, please ask. I would love to know your thoughts on this post. Please submit your comments below if you get the time to do so.
