This afternoon I am training a group of real estate agents on how to use social media. We will be focusing on Twitter. Each class starts off the same way…”Who has sold a house using social media?” I am adamant that social media should produce results. It should provide leads and generate sales for this industry. So far, two of the agents have gotten leads off of Facebook. Now it’s time to see the results. I will be asking this question when they come into the training room.
Results can vary depending on the goals that you set for using social media. I am training this group to generate leads and connect with prospective buyers. The question that remains is this…”What goal are you setting for your business social media usage?” Now your goal might be greater visibility, an extension of your customer service and such. You should think about this. It could bring greater focus to what you are doing.
