A business client asked me this…”Am I able to add more than 1 FB profile to my Klout?”. Here’s what I found out in my search for the answer.
People are changing their Twitter usernames and wanting to add more Facebook Profiles to their Klout. This is causing more than a few questions for the Klout support team.
By what about having an extra Facebook Profile added to your Klout? Can this be done?
The answer is “No” to having two Facebook Profiles connected to the same Klout. Klout will allow you to use either a Facebook Profile or a Facebook Page for your Klout; but not both.
And why would you want two Facebook Profiles connected to the same Klout? You would be best served to create two Klout accounts and measure both separately. That’s the same for your other Twitter account. You “want” to see what is happening on “each” account; not just the group.

I tried changing my Facebook Profile to my Facebook Page in the Klout Connection area and immediately my Klout score went down; from 61 to 53. My Facebook Page had less fans than my Facebook Profile had friends. I would recommend that you connect your best Facebook Profile or Page; whichever has the most people connected to it. You cannot have both at this point.
Remember that Klout is a basic measurement tool. Please take the info with a grain of salt. There are other things that can help you collectively see the bigger picture of how you are doing on social media.

“If you need social media training, consulting or a social media speaker (Truro, Halifax, Dartmouth or throughout Nova Scotia – for that matter – anywhere), use the Contact page to get started. I am available also on Skype: jeff.brown.alpha”
Another reason Klout I believe has not done a very good job of their metrics lately. You should be able to add your personal page and your Fan page. The reality is Klout is all about Klout perks. This is the intent of it – advertising not if the numbers are right or wrong. So at the end of the day does it really matter?
@Robcairns Let’s see if we can change that Rob. Klout has to have a business side; but they should do what they do well by connecting as much of us as possible to our Klout account. Thanks for the comment Rob.
