You can now custom schedule your tweets, Facebook posts, and your LinkedIn posts via Buffer. Buffer has just introduced custom scheduling. It works much the same Hootsuite custom scheduling. Now you can pick a specific time and date for your post to go out.
Previously with Buffer, you could add a post to Buffer and it would take the next available slot based on the time intervals that you have previously set up. This was good for creating some time between posts. It allowed you to have posts go out while your were busy with other things. Leo Widrich says it best… “A way to effortlessly add your social updates and they’re automatically scheduled and spaced out over the day.”
Now Buffer scheduling allows you to pick a specific time and date for a scheduled post. This way, if you need to make an announcement of an upcoming special, a birthday wish or marketing campaign, you could have that post go out at the right moment. This is a great improvement for Buffer. This gives users more flexibility in how they schedule their posts.
When you create a custom scheduled event, it will go into your Buffer updates along with your regularly scheduled posts. You will be able to tell a custom scheduled post because the time will be surrounded by a grey box. Here what it will look like:
Notice that the first scheduled post does not have a grey box around the time. This is a regularly scheduled Buffer post. The second post is a custom scheduled post. Notice the grey box around the time. This is how you will tell the difference. This is going to be a great feature.
There are many benefits for using Buffer for scheduling your social media posts. One that you may not know about is that Buffer allows you to post to your Facebook Page without informing readers that you used Buffer to put the post into the Page. Other applications will say “Via [application name]. This is important because reader engagement decreases dramatically on Facebook when you use 3rd part apps. Buffer posts to Facebook just like you posted it there yourself. Buffer helps keep engagement as high as possible.
One of the reasons that I use Buffer for my business is that I train a lot throughout the day. I simply do not get many chances to send out posts. Buffer allows me to share great information with my community at spaced out intervals. Instead of putting out 1o posts in 5 minutes, I can now space them out at 1 hour intervals throughout the day.
If you want to create more visibility for your business, I recommend Buffer to you. If you have any questions, please ask.
