I just checked Tropicana Canada’s Facebook Page out and they were at 37,414 “Liker’s”. That means 37,414 people have actively clicked on the “Like” button to express their love for a box of juice. Yes, a box of juice. It’s not Brad Pitt, Rachael Ray, Frosty the Snowman or some awesome place. It’s a box of juice. You know that there are other boxes of juice out their that are not doing as well as Tropicana. They may even taste as good as Tropicana. So what is the secret to all the “Likes”?
It’s their marketing team that makes the difference. It’s their awesome moderator @jean_george17 and the rest of the team that has been tugging at your hearts. They have been using social media masterfully. As you read some of their posts, you will see why. Today’s post is this: “What do you love most about the winter season?” They have 39 comments already and growing; and they did not even mention the word juice. And you are struggling to get someone to make a comment on your post. Go take a look at what they are doing, and you will learn some great ideas to apply to your Facebook Page. Look at all the conversations in particular.
Now the Tropicana Canada team have some nice FBML tabs with good material, but it is not the best I have ever seen. Yet they have connected with so many people. They have mastered the art of conversation and have created passion around a box of juice. So when you think it is too difficult, think to yourself, if a box of juice can have 37,414 “Liker’s”, why can’t I? Engage and converse with your “Liker’s” and create some passion around what you have. Tropicana – just another box; I don’t think so!
