I must say to my surprise that I recently learned how to show people how to do better on Twitter with pencil and paper. Yes, I said pencil and paper. My social media workshop participants learned how to use pencil and paper to write out their Twitter campaigns for a business; and thus, for their own businesses.

What I learned was this… Many people are resistant to place things on Twitter for fear of making a mistake that could hurt their business. Using pencil and paper allows them the security to plan before they post. And yes, erasers were used a lot.But imagine using a low tech tool like pencil and paper for high-tech social media? They loved the learning experience. I learned something new that I was not expecting to learn.

Here is what I used:

Now, I am taking a full day PD on Instructional Aids. I will learn how to help my workshop participants learn social media in ways they may not have even thought about to increase their effectiveness with social media.

To achieve the best results as trainers, we need to improve how we instruct as educators and trainers. After all, we want to hear these results:

After all, as trainers and educators, we are not trying just to scratch and itch we have; we are trying to empower and encourage business owners to go farther and better than they ever have before. Their success with be our best accolades.

So have a great day of business out there. I am cheering you on. 😀
