I must say to my surprise that I recently learned how to show people how to do better on Twitter with pencil and paper. Yes, I said pencil and paper. My social media workshop participants learned how to use pencil and paper to write out their Twitter campaigns for a business; and thus, for their own businesses.
What I learned was this… Many people are resistant to place things on Twitter for fear of making a mistake that could hurt their business. Using pencil and paper allows them the security to plan before they post. And yes, erasers were used a lot.But imagine using a low tech tool like pencil and paper for high-tech social media? They loved the learning experience. I learned something new that I was not expecting to learn.

Now, I am taking a full day PD on Instructional Aids. I will learn how to help my workshop participants learn social media in ways they may not have even thought about to increase their effectiveness with social media.
