I see many businesses struggling with trying to make their social media marketing work. Some are really trying, while others are coming up with reasons why they have not done anything with their social media.
The honest truth about social media is that it does require work, and it does require your attention to monitor what is happening around you; especially when people try to reach out to you. It does take time. How much time? It depends on what you want to get out of your social media efforts.
As a business, we need to see social media as a part of our marketing efforts to reach and connect with our customers. You should consider social media like a phone. You make calls and your answer calls. Their is some scheduling that you can do with your social media. But you still need to be there for your customers when they reach out to you.
Always keep in mind that social media is only one of your marketing tools. You spend time working on the other stuff like Email marketing, newsletters, ads, and networking. Why would you not give social media part of your effort as well?
There’s always something else you have to do? But until you work your social media, you will not see the results. You will not affect Google unless you work your social media.
So think about your social media efforts this morning. Are you really giving it the effort you need to? Sometimes social media is work and not always fun. It’s your business. There are things that are not always fun; but they are necessary.
If you have any questions, please ask. But give your social media an honest attempt and see what comes your way as you build momentum. And by the way, it’s going to take a little while to see results. Keep pushing ahead.
