This blog post is coming to your from the Halifax International Airport. If you are a trainer or a professional speaker, and you are good, you are going to have to travel.

Today I am off to Toronto to deliver a social media workshop for Police Executives from Canada. This should be an interesting workshop to deliver. Many of the participants will be at different levels of knowledge and experience with social media.

One of the key things I will try to help them understand is the principle of building trust in their communities. I think Chris Brogan said it best with his book…”Agents of Trust”. I will show them the why of social media and then help them understand the process of developing trust.

I want to say hi to all my clients who have graciously allowed me to travel this week to Toronto. No, they can’t keep me; and Yes, I will be back. I am looking forward to sharing all my great experiences with my clients who I now call my friends.

I will also be meeting people who I have only met on social media and via Skype. Social media should always result in a face to face. I am definitely looking forward to meeting my “Friends” there. It’s funny that this can happen, but it does. The conversations will now carry on face to face.

Well the girl just came to the desk. Time for me to go. Have a great day everyone. See you tomorrow when I blog again.
