I am writing this post to let my friends know that Facebook is not going to start charging users to use Facebook. Facebook is not going to start charging users period.
There have been several posts telling people that Facebook is going to start charging users. This simply is not true. Furthermore, I received this Facebook message from a my good friend Mary:
Mary is a serious business person and she asked a good question. This rumor has been spreading for quite some time now on the Internet. And there are even groups protesting the fact that Facebook is charging users. Here is what was written on Answers.com:
Here’s a quote written in Inc.com from Facebook’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg: ” the site will focus on being an “ad-based business,” she said – not on fees for functions.”
Furthermore, take a look at the log in screen for Facebook:
It says…”It’s free and always will be.”
So hopefully all these pictures, comments and remarks will convince you not to believe all the false rumors and stories going on out there. Facebook is free and there is no plan for them to charge users.
